Disclaimer

Everything on Your Freedom Frequency, the articles, the devotionals, the prayers, the emails and the downloads, is written to encourage you in your walk with God. It is personal reflection and Biblical encouragement, offered honestly and in good faith.

What this is not

Nothing on this website or in anything you buy or receive from it is medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial or professional counselling advice. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for care from someone qualified to give it.

If you are struggling with your mental health, your marriage, your children, your finances or your safety, please talk to a qualified professional. A devotional is a good companion. It is not a doctor, a counsellor, a lawyer or a financial adviser, and I would never want it used as one.

I am not your pastor

I write as a Christian woman, not as an ordained minister, a qualified counsellor or a trained theologian. I hold no pastoral authority over you and I am not a replacement for your own church community. Please weigh everything you read here against Scripture, and against the counsel of people who actually know you and your situation.

No promised outcomes

A devotional is not a formula. I cannot and do not promise a particular result in your heart, your marriage, your children or your circumstances. Any stories, examples or testimonials shared here are individual experiences and are not a prediction of what will happen for you.

Scripture

Bible translations are copyrighted works, and each product names the translation or translations it quotes along with that translation’s required acknowledgement. See Scripture Copyright & Permissions. Where I paraphrase or reflect on a passage in my own words, I have tried to make that clear so you can go and read it for yourself.

Disclosure

What I sell

I write and sell digital devotionals, Bible studies, guided journals and workbooks. They come in several formats, and the Terms set those out. When you buy one, the money comes to me. That is the only income this website currently earns, and it pays for hosting, tools and the time it takes to write.

Affiliate links

An affiliate link is a link that pays the person who shared it a small commission if you buy through it. As at the effective date at the top of this page, this website carries no affiliate links and no paid sponsorships.

If that changes, you will know. Any affiliate link will be clearly marked as one at the point you see it, not buried down here. I will only ever recommend something I would use myself or have used myself, and an affiliate commission will never be the reason a recommendation appears.

Gifts, sponsorship and paid content

If a book, product or service is ever given to me for free, or if I am ever paid to write about something, that will be stated clearly at the top of the article or post, in plain words. My opinion stays my own either way, including when it is not the opinion the sponsor was hoping for.

Testimonials and reviews

Any testimonial or reader comment published here is real, shared with that person’s permission, and unpaid. Names may be shortened or changed for privacy, and I may lightly edit for length or spelling, never for meaning.

Privacy Policy

What I collect

• Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it, when you subscribe to the newsletter.
• Whatever you send me when you email me, including anything you share in a prayer request.
• Basic, anonymous visit statistics, such as which pages are popular and roughly which country visitors came from. This is counted in aggregate and does not identify you.
• Advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel. Meta is the company behind Facebook and Instagram. The pixel notes which pages you visit here and whether you buy something, so I can tell whether my ads are working and show them to people who have already been here. I only ever see totals, not who you are. Meta may connect it to your own Facebook or Instagram account under its own privacy policy.
• Purchase details, meaning the name and email you use at checkout and which product you bought. This is held by my checkout provider, Book Like A Boss, and I can see it there.

What I never collect

Your card details never touch this website. Payment is handled entirely by Book Like A Boss and their payment processor. I never see, receive or store your card number, expiry, security code or bank details. I could not give them away even if someone asked me to, because I do not have them.

Why I collect it

• To send you the devotional you bought.
• To send you the newsletter you asked for, and nothing you did not ask for.
• To reply to you when you write to me.
• To understand which writing is helping people, so I write more of what actually serves you.
• To see whether my Facebook and Instagram ads are reaching the women they could help, so I am not spending money on ads that help nobody.

Who else sees it

I am one person, not a company with departments. A small number of trusted services help run this website, and they only ever see what they need to do their job:

• Bluehost, which hosts the website.
• Automattic, through WordPress and Jetpack, which runs the newsletter subscriptions and the anonymous visit statistics.
• Book Like A Boss and their payment processor, which handle checkout and delivery of your download.
• Google, for the email account I reply from and for hosting the download files.
• Meta Platforms, through the Meta Pixel, which measures visits and purchases from my Facebook and Instagram ads and helps show those ads to people who have visited this site.

I do not sell, rent or trade your information to anybody. No exceptions, no data brokers, no list swaps. The only other time I would hand over information is if the law required me to.

Your information may be stored overseas

Most of the services above are based in the United States, so your email address, purchase details and visit information are likely stored on servers outside Australia. By subscribing or buying, you accept that this happens. Those services are bound by their own privacy obligations, and links to their policies are available on request if you want to read them.

How long I keep it

I keep your email address for as long as you want to hear from me, and I remove it when you unsubscribe or ask me to. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for tax and record keeping. Emails you send me stay in my inbox unless you ask me to delete them.

Your choices, and how to use them

• Unsubscribe any time. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. You never have to tell me why.
• Ask what I hold about you. Email me and I will tell you.
• Ask me to correct it if something is wrong.
• Ask me to delete it. I will, unless I am legally required to keep a purchase record, in which case I will tell you what I have to keep and why.

For any of these, email jvg.yff@gmail.com. You do not need to be formal about it. One line is enough.

Email, and not being pestered

I only email people who have asked me to. I will not add you to the newsletter because you bought something or because you sent me a question. In line with the Australian Spam Act 2003, every marketing email I send identifies me and carries a working unsubscribe link.

Children

This website is written for adult women. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe your child has subscribed, email me and I will remove them.

Where I stand legally

Your Freedom Frequency is a very small operation, and small businesses in Australia under the turnover threshold are generally exempt from the Privacy Act 1988. I have chosen to handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles anyway, because it is the right way to treat people, not because someone is making me.

If you are unhappy with how I handled your information

Please email me first. I would genuinely rather hear about it and fix it than have you sit with it. If you are not satisfied with how I respond, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Cookies

Cookies are tiny files a website stores in your browser. This site uses them sparingly:

• Essential cookies set by WordPress so pages load and work correctly, and so the newsletter form can protect itself against spam.
• Anonymous statistics through Jetpack, which counts page views without identifying you personally.
• Advertising cookies from the Meta Pixel, which tell me when someone who saw my Facebook or Instagram ad visits or buys, and let me show my ads to people who have already been here. Meta sets and controls these under its own privacy policy.
• Embedded content, such as web fonts loaded from Google Fonts, which may set its own cookies under its own policy. When you follow a link to the checkout, that site sets its own cookies too.

The Meta Pixel is the only advertising tracking on this website. There is no other ad network here, and I never sell your information to advertisers.

To stop Facebook and Instagram using your visits here to choose the ads you see, turn off activity information from ad partners in your Meta ad preferences. Blocking or clearing cookies in your browser stops it too.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block the essential ones, parts of the site such as the newsletter signup may stop working, which is a browser limitation rather than a fault here.

AI Disclosure

Plenty of websites use AI quietly and say nothing. I would rather tell you, because you are trusting this site with matters of faith and that deserves honesty.

Where AI helps

• Writing support. Some content is drafted, structured or edited with the help of AI tools. The thinking, the convictions, the lived experience and the final words are mine. Nothing is published that I have not read and agreed with.
• Building the website. The design and code behind these pages were built with AI assistance.
• Images. Some artwork and images on this site are created or enhanced with AI image tools.
• Admin. Tidying, formatting, proofreading and other unglamorous tasks.

Where AI is never used

• It does not counsel you. No AI on this site offers spiritual direction, counselling or pastoral care, and none ever will.
• It does not pray for you. If you send me a prayer request, a real person prays. That is the whole point.
• It does not publish unread. No AI writes something and puts it live on its own. There is always a human step, and that human is me.
• It does not decide anything about you. No automated system makes decisions about you, your purchase or your access.
• It is not fed your details. I do not put subscriber lists, your emails or your prayer requests into AI tools, and nothing you send me is used to train an AI model.

Scripture and doctrine are checked by a human

AI tools get things wrong, and they get Scripture wrong confidently. Every Bible reference, quotation and theological point is checked by a person against the text. If you ever find an error, please tell me and I will correct it and say so.

If this site ever has an AI feature you can talk to

If an interactive AI feature appears on this website, it will be clearly labelled as AI, and this applies:

• Please do not type sensitive personal details, health information or anything identifying about your children into it.
• What you type may be sent to a third party AI provider for processing, likely outside Australia.
• Its answers are generated text. They are not advice, not counselling, and not vetted by me before you see them.
• It is a signpost at most. If it says something that contradicts Scripture or good sense, trust Scripture and good sense.

Information Security

How your information is protected

• Encryption everywhere. Every page on this site is served over HTTPS, so what passes between your device and the site is encrypted in transit.
• Payments are handled elsewhere, by specialists. Checkout happens on Book Like A Boss, using their payment processor. No card details are entered on this website, and none are stored here or by me.
• No stored financial data. I hold no card numbers, no bank account details and no payment credentials for any customer. There is nothing of that kind here to steal.
• Strong, unique passwords and two factor authentication on the accounts that run this site and the email attached to it, wherever the provider offers it.
• Kept up to date. WordPress, plugins and themes are updated so known security holes get closed.
• Access is limited to me. Nobody else has an administrator account on this website.
• Subscriber lists stay put. I do not export subscriber lists to spreadsheets, side tools or third party apps for convenience.

The honest limit

No website, mine included, can guarantee perfect security. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. What I can promise is that I take it seriously, I do not collect information I do not need, and I do not hold the kind of data that would hurt you most if it were lost.

If something ever goes wrong

If I become aware of a breach that affects your information, I will tell the people affected promptly and plainly: what happened, what was involved, and what you should do about it. Where the law requires it, I will also notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. You will not find out from a footnote six months later.

Two things that help on your side

• Use a strong, unique password on the email account you buy with, since your download link is delivered there.
• Please do not forward your download link to others. It is tied to your purchase, and sharing it is both a security risk to you and a breach of the licence in Section 07.

Your Journal & Your Data

This section applies to interactive web-based journals and installable journal apps. If you only ever use printable or downloadable resources, it does not affect you.

Where your writing lives

Your interactive journal entries are stored locally on your device and are not routinely transmitted to Your Freedom Frequency. No account or cloud storage is required.

Because your journal information lives on your device, Your Freedom Frequency cannot access, read, retrieve or recover your personal journal entries.

How writing can be lost

Your writing may be lost if:

• your device is lost or damaged
• you delete your browser or website data
• you remove the journal app and its stored data
• you reset your device
• you change devices without first creating a backup

For this reason, we strongly recommend using the journal’s built-in backup feature regularly, particularly if you have writing you would not want to lose.

Your backup belongs to you

Your backup belongs to you. You can keep it somewhere safe and use the journal’s restore feature if you need to recover your entries or move them to another compatible device.

Working offline

The journal is designed to continue working offline after it has been loaded and installed correctly. Your private journal writing does not need to be sent to Your Freedom Frequency for the journal to function.

Please don’t send me your journal writing

If you write to me for help with a technical problem, please do not include your private journal writing unless you deliberately choose to share something that is necessary to explain the issue. I do not need to read it to help you, and I would rather it stayed yours.

By using this website or buying anything from it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Who you are dealing with

Your Freedom Frequency is an Australian business based in Queensland, ABN 14 580 448 421. Full business and contact details are in Business Information. The way to reach me about anything on this page is jvg.yff@gmail.com.

The formats these products come in

Not every purchase is a file you download. Your Freedom Frequency may provide digital products as:

• downloadable files
• printable resources
• interactive web-based journals
• installable web applications, sometimes called Progressive Web Apps
• Bible studies
• devotionals
• guided journals
• workbooks
• other digital resources

Some products are not downloaded at all. Instead you are given a web address to open, and on a compatible device you can add it to your Home Screen so it behaves like an app. Each product page says which format it is before you buy.

If a product keeps your own writing on your device, Your Journal & Your Data explains what that means for you.

Using this website

• You may read, enjoy and share links to anything published freely on this site.
• Please do not copy or republish whole articles elsewhere, whether on a website, in a newsletter, in a printed booklet or on social media.
• Please do not scrape the site, harvest email addresses, or use automated tools to copy content in bulk.
• Please do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site.
• A short quote is very welcome, up to a few sentences, with my name and a link back to the page you took it from.

Who owns the content

All text, devotionals, journals, images, artwork, designs and layouts on this site are owned by me or properly licensed to me, and are protected by copyright. Buying a devotional buys you the right to use it, described below. It does not transfer ownership of it.

What you get when you buy

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the product yourself. Buying it does not transfer ownership or copyright. The full wording, including what you may and may not do with it and how to arrange church or group use, is in Digital Product Licence.

Prices, payment and delivery

• Prices are shown on the product pages in Australian dollars (AUD) and may change at any time. The price you paid at checkout is the price that applies to your purchase.
• If an obvious pricing or description error appears, I may correct it, and I will contact you before completing an affected order.
• Checkout is handled by Book Like A Boss. After payment you are emailed either your file or the web address where your product lives, depending on its format.
• If nothing arrives, check your junk and promotions folders first, then email me and I will sort out your access directly. Nobody misses out on something they paid for.
• These are digital products. Nothing is posted to you, so no shipping applies.
• For an interactive or installable product, you need a reasonably current browser and a device that supports it. The product page says what is needed. An internet connection is required the first time you open it, and for any product that has to be loaded before it can be used offline.

Links to other websites

Where this site links out to someone else’s website, product or resource, that is a recommendation, not a guarantee. I do not control those sites and I am not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices. Please use your own judgement over there.

Newsletter

Subscribing is voluntary and leaving is easy. I may stop, pause or change the newsletter, and I may remove a subscriber who abuses it, for example by replying with abuse or spam.

Availability of the site

I will try to keep the website, the downloads and the hosted products available, but I cannot promise uninterrupted access. Hosting fails, providers have outages, and things occasionally break. If a product is unavailable when you need it, email me and I will sort it out. An interactive journal that has already been loaded onto your device is designed to keep working offline even when the website itself is down.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss, damage, cost or decision arising from your use of this website or its content, including anything you do or do not do based on something you read here. You are responsible for your own choices, and for getting proper professional advice where your situation calls for it.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, my liability is limited, at my option, to resupplying the product or refunding the price you paid for it.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms as the site grows. The version in force is the one on this page, with the effective date shown at the top. Your purchase is governed by the terms in place on the day you bought.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If we disagree

Please email me first. I am a real person, not a support queue, and almost everything can be sorted out with one honest conversation.

Digital Product Licence

Unless otherwise specified for a particular product, purchasing a Your Freedom Frequency digital product grants the purchaser a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that product for their own personal purposes.

What buying does not do

Purchasing access does not transfer copyright or ownership of the underlying product. The writing, photography, artwork, design and, where applicable, the software remain the property of Your Freedom Frequency or its licensors. You are buying the right to use the product, not the product itself.

What you may do

• Use your purchased product on your own compatible devices.
• Print personal copies where print functionality is provided.
• Use it within your own household.
• Keep your own backup of your own journal writing, as described in Your Journal & Your Data.

What you may not do, unless expressly authorised

Unless expressly authorised, customers may not:

• resell the product
• redistribute it
• share paid access as a substitute for another person’s purchase
• publish or upload substantial portions publicly
• upload product files or backups to public file-sharing services
• reproduce the product commercially
• claim the product as their own
• remove copyright notices
• substantially copy protected content or design to create a competing commercial product

Sharing a quote is still welcome

None of the above is meant to stop you talking about something that helped you. A short quote, with credit and a link back, is genuinely welcome.

Church, ministry and group use

If you would like to use a product with a women’s group, a Bible study, a church or a ministry, please email me and ask. I am usually delighted to say yes, and I would rather agree something fair with you than have you quietly breach the licence and feel bad about it.

Products may set their own terms

A particular product may come with a licence that is broader or narrower than this one, for example a resource intended to be printed for a group. Where a product states its own licence, that wording applies to that product and this section fills in anything it does not cover.

Refunds & Consumer Rights

This covers every product format

Your Freedom Frequency products are supplied in several formats, including downloadable files, printable resources, interactive web-based journals and installable web applications. This policy applies to all of them. What matters is not whether a file landed in your inbox, but whether access to the product has been supplied to you.

Change of mind

Because these products are supplied immediately and cannot be handed back, change-of-mind refunds are not ordinarily offered once digital access has been supplied, unless a particular product expressly says otherwise. Some products may carry their own satisfaction guarantee, and where they do, that offer is honoured on its own terms.

What I can do instead is help you buy the right thing in the first place. Every product page says what you are getting, what format it comes in and who it is for. If you are unsure whether something suits you, email me before you buy and ask me straight out. I will tell you honestly, even if the honest answer is that this one is not for you.

When I will absolutely put it right

Email me and I will sort out any of these:

• Your access link or download link never arrived, or it has expired or stopped working.
• A downloadable file will not open, is corrupted, or is missing pages.
• An interactive journal or app will not load, will not install, or will not save your writing as described.
• You received the wrong product.
• You were charged twice, or charged the wrong amount.
• The product is significantly different from how it was described.

My first step is always to fix it, usually by sending the file directly or sorting out access. If I cannot fix it, you get a full refund, with no argument and no hoops.

What is not a fault in the product

Some things look like a fault but are how devices and browsers work, and I will always help you with them rather than treat them as a refund matter:

• Journal writing lost because website data was cleared, an app was deleted, or you changed devices without a backup. See Your Journal & Your Data.
• An interactive journal not working offline because it was never opened online long enough to finish loading.
• A device or browser too old to run an installable web app, where the product page stated what is needed.

If you are stuck on any of these, write to me. Nobody misses out on something they paid for.

How to ask

Email jvg.yff@gmail.com with:

• the name and email address you used at checkout
• roughly when you bought it
• which product it was
• what went wrong, in your own words

Please do not include your private journal writing. I do not need to read it to help you.

I aim to reply within 3 business days. I am one person in North Queensland, so allow for weekends and the odd cyclone. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, and your bank may take a few more days to show it.

Bundles

Where several titles are sold together as one bundle at one price, refunds are assessed on the bundle as a whole rather than on individual titles inside it.

One more thing

These products cost a few dollars. They are not worth either of us falling out over. If something has gone wrong, tell me and I will make it right.

Scripture Copyright & Permissions

Modern English Bible translations are protected by copyright and licensed by their rights holders. Each translation sets its own conditions for commercial use, including the exact wording of the notice that must appear with the quotations.

Translations are named per product

Products here do not all use the same translation, and a single product may quote more than one. So rather than listing translations on this page, each product carries its own Scripture acknowledgement in the place you would expect to find it:

• in an interactive journal or app, under About & Information and then Legal & Privacy
• in a printable or downloadable resource, on the acknowledgements page
• in the printed or PDF output of a journal, on its final page

That acknowledgement names the translation, its rights holder, and the copyright and permissions wording that translation requires.

Why the wording is never paraphrased

Rights holders specify their notices exactly, including trademark wording. I reproduce what they require rather than writing my own version of it. Where a product is awaiting confirmed permissions, it states plainly which translations it quotes and nothing more, until the approved wording is in place.

My own writing is separate

The reflections, prayers, journal prompts and commentary around the Scripture are my own work and are covered by Copyright below. The Scripture text itself belongs to its translation’s rights holder.

If you spot a mistake

If you believe a verse, a reference or an acknowledgement is wrong, please email me. I will check it against the text and correct it, and I will say that I have.

What needs permission

• Republishing a whole article or devotional anywhere, including in a newsletter, a printed booklet, a course, a membership or on social media.
• Using the photography or artwork separately from the page it appears on.
• Using the Your Freedom Frequency name, logo or branding in a way that suggests I wrote, endorsed or approved something I did not.
• Translating or adapting any part of a product.

Ask me. It costs you an email and I am reasonable.

Material licensed from others

Some elements are used under licence from their own rights holders and are acknowledged where they appear. That includes the typefaces used in the interactive journals, which are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, and Bible translations, which are covered in Scripture Copyright & Permissions above.

If you believe something here infringes your copyright, please email me with enough detail to identify the material and I will look into it promptly.

Products are sometimes published under a Your Freedom Frequency sub-brand, such as Silhouettes of the Soul, Anchored in Prayer or Raising Arrows. These are not separate businesses. They are areas of the same one, and everything on this page applies to all of them.

Where checkout happens

Purchases are processed by Book Like A Boss, which handles payment and delivery on my behalf. Your card details are entered on their platform, not on this website. See Information Security.

Getting hold of me

Email is the way. There is no phone line and no support desk, because there is no team. I answer my own messages and I aim to do it within 3 business days.

Changes & Contact

Changes to these policies

I will update this page when something genuinely changes, for example if I add an affiliate link, a new product type, a contact form, an AI feature, customer accounts, cloud storage for journals, or any kind of analytics. The effective date at the top of the page always tells you when the current version came into force.

For anything significant, such as a real change in how your information is handled, I will say so in the newsletter rather than changing it quietly and hoping nobody notices.
